Some of these papers were published in business week months ago, others, such as 2011 when King & Fellows College of Business produced the BCS paper, are in new assignments to be delivered between January 26th-31st. Because they are designed for teaching non-international students/faculty, they do have some restrictions. They have to be academic essays, based on a ten-page paper, and may not include reference material. Those students with this requirement are called “non-international student papers”. Additionally, many of these papers have to obtain references that are published by corporate journal publishers. Credible “bronze” references are often ignored, while references more heavily used to denote academic work are often republished. At Harvard, the campus is the center of a collaborative global publishing process, so these papers and papers that appear twice in the Harvard Business School’s online “student study” page will carry some reference material on a physical campus.
