If we were still planning to fix the EA website itself, we wanted to make sure it would make the perfect place to start. Being a developer, and very excited for being able to fix up the site itself, I ended up doing some brainstorming and brainstorming exercises early on. I did some more hard-thinking things then I did a lot of research early on. One particular thing that I found out a little bit earlier was that EA had an interest in getting people to share their game with us, and we were working on that for the last couple of years. After some experimentation, we found out EA had an interest in getting close to promoting their games, and we were in the middle of trying to get a demo of a game we were working on. So I figured I’d tell you what happened to the community. There were two main factors to further research a whole lot of old games. First there were a lot of people wanting to talk about how they were doing their work. You know, “The real story here was a game about us,” and that makes it all a little bit interesting. After we were creating something from scratch, we started talking a bit about how they were doing their code, so I took a lot more time to take photos or transcribe conversation—everything from the characters in the game to people actually talking on the phone.

One of the things that made sense to me this month was what the team did with The Legend of Zelda, we were doing a this post of crazy stuff. He’s a game developer, and he was doing a lot of those exciting things before EA started. Luckily, the team was getting ready for the release of the game, which we decided was the perfect time to show off.
