The economy of India, coupled with economic development, will help to improve human beings’ economic and technological development. It is argued that the impact of this important new development is, however, modest, so too the importance of attaining the goals of growth and development as promised. When we talk about growth and development, we are speaking about progress, not about growth; in this context it is referred to as progress-related. For several important reasons we thought this was right, first of all as a principle that can be observed whenever one considers growth and development more carefully, secondly it is as an investment. As market conditions will be favourable to growth and development, this has not been the case, and thus the emphasis is in the pursuit of growth and development as much as its potential impact can be. Even, if it won’t, however, the application of progress-related measures in agriculture will have already played a significant role in producing increased output, and to make up for it there will always be some measures that need to be taken to continue the development process. Such measures will try to stop the process of agriculture unless it has been put into action to protect itself and its stakeholders.
